The Golf Course

Our picturesque course features "twin" Par 3's with the 10th playing straight downhill and the 16th recapturing the Clubhouse level.  From the back tees the course measures 6447 yards and plays to a slope rating of 129.  The course is mainly bent grass, poa, greens, tees and fairways with a mixture of bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue grass in rough areas.

In the late 1990's, the Club hired Northeast Golf Company and Architect, Robert McNeil, to provide a master plan for improvements to the entire course.  Since 2000, the Club has implemented many changes, including 48 new tees, over 70 new sand bunkers, a number of grass hollows and miles of drainage.

The Club also added a state of the art Practice Facility with a 15,000 sq. ft. grass tee, chipping area and practice bunker and a 6,000 sq. ft. putting green.  The Par 4 17th Hole is one of the signature holes at Cedar Hill, which features an 18,000 sq. ft. pond framed by a fieldstone wall and bunkers along the right side of the green.   Water also comes into play on holes 12 and 14 with an acre and a quarter pond located on the tree lined back nine.

In 2012, a plan was developed to change the 3rd and 9th greens and make other improvements to the course.  The 3rd green complex was completed in September of 2013 with new bunkering and a bent grass approach area.  Cart path work was finished in the spring of 2014 and the 9th green and bunkering on holes 2 and 8 were completed in the fall of 2014.

Although Cedar Hill is a private member-owned golf course, the Club is very well-known for hosting golf outings for various organizations and foundations and offers a variety of outing packages.

The Tennis Courts

Cedar Hill has three Har-Tru tennis courts. Other terms used to describe this type of court are fast dry, green clay or American clay. They are related to the classic red clay of Europe, such as the French Open Courts, but they dry quicker and are easier to maintain.  The courts are typically open for play from April to November, weather permitting.

Our tennis program is fully comprehensive and offers instruction for adults and children through private and group lessons. Weekday afternoon tennis camps are offered for children in June and August. Round Robins, the President's Cup Ladder and mix and match programs are in place to help members find other players at similar levels of play. Many special events are held throughout the season and families that are new to the club receive a half hour complimentary lesson from our Tennis Pro.

The Pool

The CHCC swimming pool opens on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and closes on the Sunday following Labor Day.   The pool area consists of a main pool with a slide, wading pool, locker rooms, deck and lounge area and snack bar.
